The Lighting Theif

     This is the story of Percy Jackson a young boy at the age of 12 who discovers he is half human half god otherwise known as a demi god basically this whole book is based on mythology and as the story progresses so does his powers, his dad Poseidon helps him along through his journey, .

  The plot line of the story is that Zeus lighting bolt gets stolen and he accuses Percy because he thinks since his dad broke the treaty saying they won’t have any more sons or daughters that he has something to do with it, so Zeus gives him 10 days to find it meanwhile he has no clue what they’re talking about because he is incent and the real person who stole it was the camp leader who is son of Hermes (traveling god and stealing god) Hades convinced Luke (the camp leader) to steal it because he was tired of being treated like he was nothing and doing everything for the gods so Hades promised him he would have power if he listened to him now the whole plan was to get the lightning bolt and cause a war between the gods this would distract them for a while and when they were being distracted Hades was planning to rebuild kronos and let him rise to power again and over throw the gods.

 To get the lightning bolt back from Hades he must go into the underworld which is next to impossible in order to accomplish this him Grover and Annabeth must go to las Vegas, a stone emporium in Illinois and virgina to get these stones that would help them escape if they didn’t get these stones there would be no return out from the underworld but at every place to get the stones there was a different challenge, in virgina they had to get the stone off of a 40 foot statue of Annbeths mom Athena and they got attacked by a hydra in las Vegas they had to escape the lotus hotel which was a hotel that maid time faster and had all the luxuries features a kid could want it took them five days to get out so they wasted five days and had to quickly make up for it and at the emporium they had to kill medusa and get the stone from her pocket. So they got all the stones went down to the underworld faced Hades found out that Luke gave it to him in the shield step on the stones and went to mount pompous and returned it. It’s a great book read it some time

this weekend having a huge party, over 50 ppl going its going to be at candaces and today hanging out with quincey and zack its going to be fun  cant wait, party is going to be crazy but with 50 ppl there is bound to be some drama

Ultimate sledding 101

Sledding, fun most times, but having 50 mph wind blowing ice directly in your face well that’s not so great.

When the snow began we were all static we being me, Zack and Bray. We got out of school for about a week and some change and got about 3 ft, at least that’s what I saw.  I got snowed in at zacks for about 6 days but Mr. Mark maid things the best for us or at least tried.

So he got the idea of sledding. Now if you knew Mr. mark then you would understand sledding just isn’t how it sounds, he is a very extreme person so he stayed up till 1 in the morning making a sled for us but not to go down a hill to get drug around the development by a car. So what he did was put a row of car seats like he took a row of seats out of a minivan and bolted it down to a car hood  don’t get me wrong it looked like it was going to be the best thing in the world but I was wrong.

The day before this a snow plow had tried to plow the roads in the development but all he did was make a barrier on the side of the roads but to Mr. Mark that meant ramps. So the next day we got dressed up and were about to go sledding on the death trap when I realized “wow this is going to hurt” I looked at the roads they were covered in snow which was good but the barriers  on the side of the roads were solid ice. Which could hurt pretty bad and I found that out the hard way later on.

So we started sledding and I’m not going to lie it was one of the funniest things I have ever done but once Mr.Mark got the feel for things he started flooring it and whipping it around turns which was fun but not till it happened.  so the turn up ahead is approaching quickly we were all thinking this is awesome but he wiped us so far we hit the barrier and got catapulted forward, everyone else stayed on. But I soured in the air going at least 10 ft high and probably landing close to 25 ft away from where we hit it but as soon as I landed I blacked out.

Roughly about an hour later I woke up in a room I didn’t ache at all I was fine. I think the only reason I blacked out is because of the Adeline rush I had when I was flying in the air. I mean I remember everything but I have never blacked out before. We waited an hour and then we did it again. Good times good times.

“Percy Jackson: the last Olympian”

I just finished reading The Last Olympian, the final book in the five-volume set about Percy Jackson, the son of Poseidon, the Greek sea god. In the past, the other books have been a mixture of adventure and humor and real emotion. Percy has won some battles and lost others.

During the course of these books, readers have seen Percy grow up and take on more responsibility. His life has improved in the mortal world because his mom is now married to a good man, who even understands that Percy is the son of a Greek god. However, his Olympian heritage offers more danger than ever.

In the past books, Percy has learned that he may be the hero that can either save Olympus or doom it. In this book he quickly learns that no matter what he chooses, he’s probably going to die. So not a good thing to learn.

Another thing that struck me about the book was the serious tone of this one. The book starts out with a few laughs then zips off to a mission with deadly consequences for Percy. He’s forcibly reminded how powerful his enemies are and how mortal he and his friends are.

There’s brief respite at the camp, but even that quickly passes as the stakes mount and the odds against rise. There so many characters this time around that many of them don’t get the on-stage time I would’ve liked. I missed Grover, but I understood why he wasn’t on-stage as much.

After Percy’s trip to Hades, on a secret mission that really surprised me, the book turns into a long, massive battle novel that reminded me a lot of the Iliad. I stood on the edge of my seat more and more by each page I read. I clung to the book harder and harder every page I read as we watched Percy take on opponent after opponent, and suffer through every setback that occurred.

And just when you think you know how to everything’s going to turn out and what’s really go on, Riordan manages to throw twists and turns at you that let you know the game is still up in the air and no one knows who will survive until the end. I kept figuring it out, then having to stop and reconsider, and I am proud to admit that I got most of it right, but only a page or two ahead of Riordan’s reveals.

This has been a fantastic series from start to finish, and even better because I got to share it with my friend. We’re both looking forward for the whole series will come out in movies, the first on is already out of the way.

the twelve tiatans who where the gods of the golden ages ( the gods before zeus posidon hades ect..) where the rulers untill zeus and everyone over threw them. there names Oceanus and Tethys, Hyperion and Theia, Coeus and Phoebe, Cronus and Rhea, Mnemosyne, Themis, Crius, Iapetus  and cronus being the leader like zeus now. these where the orignal gods and they play a big role in mytholgy with out them there wouldnt be any

new movie about my theme mythology percy jackson the lighting theif is a great book and just got turned to a movie, plot? should i tell? i did read the book but i dont want to ruin it for all of you so go see the movie!!!  its gonna be a great one. ill spoil it a little, percy son of posidion is acussed of stealing zues lighting bolt and thats all that im telling hahaha i know the plot and you dont . go see the movie read the book and then get intrested into mytholgoy!

santa this year ive been extra nice, i hold doors for strangers , pick up papers for  people, help old ladies across the

street, i help tonya  practice  her stabbing ability, i also give homeless people a hug and give them hope and mabey spare change from now to now.  and i complement strangers and friends every day by telling them how much there hair looks good and how its so nice to see them so there for santa alls i want is  peice on earth, and a wonderfull christmas dinner thanks (: sincerely tony scarfo
